Information for consumers on settlement of consumers’ disputes:

Platform for Online Dispute Resolution provided by EU Commission:

www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Pursuant to § 36 of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (“Verbraucherstreitbeilegungsgesetz” – VSBG), reference is made to the Lawyers’ Mediation Board. This is a consumer arbitration board (“Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle”) within the meaning of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG) and mediates in property disputes between client and lawyer. Heenen Rechtsanwälte are neither obliged to participate in a dispute resolution procedure by way of Online Dispute Resolution nor at the Lawyers’ Mediation Board, nor do they agree to participate in such a procedure in advance. The option of dispute resolution by a consumer arbitration board (“Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle”) in the course of or during a specific dispute with the agreement of both contracting parties pursuant to § 37 VSBG remains unaffected.
